Quick fixes

The task panel or the green “+” doesn't appear

1. Refresh WhatsApp Web (Ctrl+R, or Cmd+R on Mac).
2. Check that the extension is turned on at chrome://extensions.
3. Open the Chrome Web Store page and update to the latest version. WhatsApp changes its website often and updates usually follow within two days.

“Reply now” doesn't open the chat

1. Make sure the chat name in the task matches the name in WhatsApp. You can fix it by double-clicking the task.
2. Scroll your chat list once so WhatsApp loads older chats, then try again.
3. If it still fails, send us the output of the steps below.

Reminders don't show

1. In the dashboard, click “Send a test reminder”.
2. If nothing appears, allow notifications for Chrome in your computer's settings (Windows: Settings › Notifications; Mac: System Settings › Notifications › Google Chrome).

Moving to a new computer

In the dashboard, sign in with Google so your tasks are backed up to your Drive. On the new computer, install Chat to Task and sign in with the same account. You can also use “Download backup” and “Restore backup”.

Sending us debug details

1. Open WhatsApp Web and press F12 (Cmd+Option+J on Mac) to open the console.
2. Type chatToTaskDebug() and press Enter.
3. Copy the lines that start with [ChatToTask] and send them to us. They contain only counts and the name of the open chat, never your messages.
